The French Football Federation (FFF) president, Philippe Diallo, has declared his readiness to even pressure Real Madrid in order to secure Kylian Mbappé’s participation in the Paris Olympics.

Diallo emphasized that Mbappé has expressed his desire to play in the Olympics, and he is determined to facilitate it.

Negotiations with Real Madrid

Diallo acknowledged that while Mbappé’s future destination remains uncertain, the FFF is focused on negotiating with Real Madrid due to the club’s decision to limit player participation in the Olympics.

He expressed his disappointment at the closed-door policy adopted by the Spanish club.

Campaigning for Mbappé

Together with French U-23 coach Thierry Henry, Diallo is actively campaigning to convince clubs to release their players for the Olympics. He mentioned ongoing discussions with domestic clubs and hinted at potential talks with foreign clubs to ensure the best team for the upcoming event.

Presidential support for Mbappé

In response to potential external pressure, Diallo affirmed that the presence of Mbappé at the Paris Olympics would greatly benefit the national team.

He expressed confidence in the intrinsic value of having the world’s best player represent France in a home tournament.
