Alexia Putellas has won the 2026 Women’s Ballon d’Or, adding a third trophy to her victories in 2021 and 2022.
The Spanish midfielder was honoured at the October 26 ceremony in London, finishing ahead of Ewa Pajor and Khadija Shaw.
Putellas helped Barcelona win the 2025/26 UEFA Women’s Champions League, contributing seven goals and seven assists. She was also named the competition’s Player of the Season before joining London City Lionesses for the 2026/27 campaign.
Her latest award recognises another outstanding chapter in women’s soccer.
