Boca Juniors has confirmed a major change in its squad for 2025: Cristian Medina, the 22-year-old midfielder, is set to join Fenerbahce, the Turkish club managed by José Mourinho. The deal will be finalized in January, with an initial payment of $15 million, plus an additional $5 million based on performance bonuses.
Medina to Stay with Boca Until End of 2024
Despite the agreement, Medina will remain at Boca until the end of 2024, giving the club the opportunity to count on him for key matches in the Argentine League and Copa Argentina. Additionally, Boca will receive a 20% sell-on clause if Fenerbahce decides to transfer Medina in the future.
