Héctor Herrera signs as Toluca’s star reinforcemen


The Red Devils of Toluca have officially announced the signing of Héctor Herrera, a 34-year-old Mexican midfielder, as their star addition for the Clausura 2025 Liga MX tournament. Coming from the Houston Dynamo in the MLS, Herrera joins after his contract was not renewed by the American club.

Héctor Herrera’s golden career


Herrera began his professional career with Pachuca in 2011 before making a name for himself at Portugal’s Porto, where he spent six years, scored 35 goals, and won three major titles. He later joined Atlético Madrid, contributing to their LaLiga championship in 2021.

In the MLS, he represented Houston Dynamo, where he recorded 25 assists and secured the U.S. Open Cup in 2023.
